BRUCE MASON CENTRE
The Bruce Mason Centre (BMC) is North Shore City's premier performing arts and convention centre. Ideally located in the heart of Takapuna Beach, this impressive venue offers views out to Rangitoto Island and the Hauraki Gulf. A minute's walk from a vibrant shopping area, restaurants, cafes, and your accommodation.

SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS
Tours out of Auckland are a unique experience. All tours are part of University research projects conducted on board the Dolphin Explorer vessel. Departs from Downtown Auckland.

4WD AND QUAD BIKE ADVENTURES
Just 40 minutes north of Takapuna is the Extreme 4 Wheel Drive Adventure Park. Drive your own vehicle or hire a 4 wheel drive Suzuki jeep. Other activities include mountain bike trails, bike hire and archery. For the ultimate experience try the Wild Max Machine.

Victoria Park Market for everything in the Arts and Crafts and Souvenirs. Many items have been crafted using indigenous materials including Paua, Greenstone and native timbers. The food hall features dishes from around the world.

MARITIME MUSEUM
Museums Visit one of the world’s finest maritime museums and journey back in time to an era of uncharted waters and discovery. Many of the displays are unusual with exhibits berthed in the museum's marina. View a replica America's cup, one of only 7 in the world.

AUCKLAND WAR MEMORIAL MUSEUM
Auckland Museum houses the largest collection of Maori and Pacific treasures in the world. It portrays the diversity of the New Zealand landscape, flora and fauna. Children love the Hands on Discovery Centres. Weird and Wonderful, and Treasures and Tales allow children to explore in participatory ways.

BAY OF ISLAND DAY TRIPS

Enjoy life on the edge with Sky Walk and Sky Jump! Make your way around the walkway 192 m above the city of Auckland or take a flying leap from the top!

BOAT CRUISES & KAYAKS
Auckland is the City of Sails and home of the America's Cup. Choose from Pride of Auckland's large mono-hulls, catamaran or Viking Cruises Americas Cup racer, NZL 40, all crewed by professionals. Fergs kayaks are for hire at Mission Bay. For a more relaxed water view, step aboard a Fullers Ferry for a coffee cruise around the harbour.

HISTORICAL LANDMARKS
Devonport, Auckland's seaside village is just 15 minutes by bus from Takapuna. Take a ferry to Auckland City and explore the Viaduct or climb North Head and Mt Victoria for spectacular views of the North Shore, City and Hauraki Gulf. Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World and Antarctic Encounter - walk beneath the ocean in a unique underwater tunnel. Watch stingrays and sharks centimetres away.
